so my R7000 gets a little hot and i have a fan that's connector that can fit on it. Would i be able to make the searal act as a PWM header? (its 12V 0.09A) fan

you would have to change the firmware itself... otherwise, most serial headers have a power and you would have to just plug in a fan into them, I doubt it is pwm though probably just a constant 3.3V DC power

I used to have a R6300v2 OCed with a 120mm fan mounted to the back. I drew the power from one of the USB ports. No PWM, but since it was a 12v fan running on 5v, it was totally silent & moved more than enough air to keep things cool. I used it like that for about 5 years. It was still going strong, but I was ready for an upgrade.
