Hi all,

I have been upgrading my DD-WRT firmware just fine until the version 11-14-2016-r30880, any version after will simply not be installed / flashed , after complete flashing is done of any version after 11-14-2016-r30880 will result in not being upgraded at all,

if I for example try to flash version 04-06-2017-r31825 all works fine until I finished and reset the router and the firmware version will show me 11-14-2016-r30880 and not the one (04-06-2017-r31825) that I just flashed, I always do the 30/30/30 before and after I have flashed the router, but makes no differences,

I can downgrade my router to an earlier version of the DD-WRT firmware just fine, but not above 11-14-2016-r30880,

I have always used the routers own Firmware upgrade function just fine (Administration/Firmware upgrade)

Sure, the router works just fine with the DD-WRT firmware version 11-14-2016-r30880 but still,

anybody had the same problem? and/or know how to fix it.?

Yes I have the same problem with mine, and the way to fix it is the restore the router to factory defaults, aka goto settings/administration/factory defaults, once the router reboots and you can access 192.168.1.1 and set the username/password then you can upgrade to the latest build and it should work.

I used the build from 5/3/17 and its working on my device.

I can't get any version of DD-WRT to flash on my ac88u that I received yesterday, even the 30880 version. How did you get 30880 on yours? think mine is different hardware because it is so new? is this way Flashrouter.com has quit supplying this router?

I have one with an older cfe that doesn't prevent flashing of third party firmware.

so they update the CFE and block us out from DD-WRT? don't suppose I can downgrade the CFE?
