Changelog:
https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=279467
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/timeline

This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 31791_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless.
If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Router Name: RT-N18U
Router Model: Asus RT-N18U
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31791 (03/30/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.57 #1377 Thu Mar 30 14:02:15 CEST 2017 armv71
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r31690 (03/17/17)
Status: AP Working
Reset: yes
Errors: Working (I don't use VPN)

1. LAN LED not working properly
2. DDNS function working normally and didn't crash like 31722
3. Clicking <Save> sometimes didn't refresh properly, leaving a blank page. My browser is Firefox 52.

Attached Speedtest result as image. I am on a 100M internet line provided by HKBN. Compared to same test using build 31690, this build did a little bit better.

It's not too big. Try flashing by booting into recovery mode.

Sorry, put it into recovery mode and flash using the ASUS Restoration Utility. Don't use the webmini CFE server.

Signal interference? Try turning off and unplugging USB 2.0 and 3.0 devices, as well as nearby Bluetooth stuffs.

Could your problem with these Chinese dongles actually be Linux kernel driver issue?

Is there a hardware compilance standard for these 3G/4G USB dongle thing, so that all 3G/4G dongles could use the same driver logic? If not, every 3G/4G USB dongle would require a special driver from their manufactures for all brands of wireless routers! Imagine about the matrix... Smile

Another possible problem came from the 3G/4G mobile protocol. Is the Chiense network a little bit different from all other countries for military reasons?

Thanks for your help, Reinvented, but have you tried it yourself with a RT-AC88U?

All builds except r31690 since r30880 from last year are not flashable.

Works with what i use, i don't use VPNs. Seems to run cooler than r31690 on both CPU and wifi. Seems to load pages faster.

Thank you very much for your work BS and Kong.

I did. I have both an 88u and a 3100. The 88u gave me some problems at first, and was unable to flash it at first until I put it into recovery mode. I had to set a static IP and all that to get it to work properly. The utility notified me at first that the flash failed, and would constantly start trying via wireless. I then had to pull power immediately, and hold the reset button in, and then applied power. Then I immediately started uploading from the utility and it seemed to upload and then start flashing. Worked no problem.
