I need a little help to activate and use adblock on the wrt1900acs v2 router, I want to mention that I am not an experienced user in ddwrt and configuration commands.
Can someone give me concrete details on how I could use it, both on the USB stick configured and without if possible.

add this script to command box and click save custom script

_rogue=0.0.0.0
echo -e "n=1\nwhile ! wget -q -O /tmp/hsts http://sbc.io/hosts/hosts ; do\n\t[ \$n -gt 5 ] && break\n\tlet n+=1\n\tsleep 60\ndone\ngrep "\^0\.0\.0\.0" /tmp/hsts | sed -n '/^0\.0\.0\.0/{/localhost/!p}' /tmp/hsts | awk '{print "0.0.0.0\t"$2}' | tr -d '\015' >/tmp/dlhosts\nrm /tmp/hsts\nkillall -HUP dnsmasq" >/tmp/wh
sh /tmp/wh &

than add this to the box and save start up script
sleep 15
sh /tmp/.rc_custom

finally add this to advanced DNSmasq rules (services tab) save and reboot..

addn-hosts=/tmp/dlhosts

of course there are more advanced Adblocking scripts around, but ill live you to find more of them use either the search function in the forum or google...

@Alozaros thanks for the answer, I have a few questions:
1.do I still have to activate adblock from the services / adblocking tab?
2. on the wifi side, on the phone, these settings block will the ads?
3.these settings may affect the router's performance in the speed test?

since I activated these settings it seems that in the speed test the voles have decreased !

I used the script provided and for some reason it did not worked for me. Using a R7000 searching on the forums was not able to find a solution. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

a quick google search...yield those 2, there are probably another 10

oliver44 you don't need to activate adblock form services...as privoxy is another way to block and interferes... for more info on privoxy google it...

in general there is no ultimate ad-blocking...

ok try this one it doesn't have the sed line

_rogue=0\.0\.0\.0\
echo -e "n=1\nwhile ! wget -q -O /tmp/hsts http://sbc.io/hosts/hosts ; do\n\t[ \$n -gt 5 ] && break\n\tlet n+=1\n\tsleep 60\ndone\ngrep "\^0\.0\.0\.0" /tmp/hsts | grep "^0\.0\.0\.0" | grep -v localhost | awk '{print \"$_rogue\\\t\"\$2}' | tr -d '\\\015' >/tmp/dlhosts\nrm /tmp/hsts\nkillall -HUP dnsmasq" >/tmp/wh
sh /tmp/wh &

@Alozaros I tried your version but it doesn't seem to block all my ads.
Can someone help me to configure another version of adblock for wrt1900acs v2, if USB memory works I would like to use a more complicated version for adblock, but I need concrete information on how to configure USB memory, the information should be detailed...

currently running the latest version of dd-wrt DD-WRT v3.0-r48141
