No, DD-WRT does not function optimal on this router. Is not optimised for the processor used in Archer C8 v2.
For exemple, LEDs not indicate real state, wifi speed is dropped and, in this moment, noone have solutions to revert to original firmware.
Else, the router is stable with DD-WRT.

Ok, thanks for the information. Do you know if there is any other open source firmware that works on this router?

Unfortunately, returning to the original firmware is no longer working ... Sad

Try to download the original firmware of C8 V1 and recover with the reset button.

5. Change the file name to ArcherC8v1_tp_recovery.bin
6. Set lan address to 192.168.0.66/24
7. Open TFTP software in the same folder of the .bin file (you must disable you firewall & antivirus)
8. press reset button on the back of the router for a long time (I was watching network traffic and keeped it pressed until the whole FW got pulled to the router)

I followed this procedure exactly. Repeatedly.
The firmware loads 100%, then the router restarts but with the previous firmware version.
And reset button not function. Pressed short or long time.

I confirm that.

Did You find a way to make this work?
