I have updated the script for UDP + Speed Tweaks.

Remember that this script is setup to default to the California server... Change it to a server near you.

Also I updated the installation of the TLS Auth Security (They now want AES-384)

PureVPN company tech support is sub par for routers.

Also... My top favorite VPN's

1) PrivateInternetAccess (they allow 128-CBC)
2) IPVanish
3) Windscribe
4) Vanished
5) Torguard

They all work and stay connected. From top to bottom in order in my opinion

I been running your earlier script for a while now. With the changes you made, do I just click run command again to change the script or is there a different command?

You can, but you will need to re-install your Username, Password and the UDP server you want to use.

By the way,
US - Georgia server is messed up for anyone having problems...

You have to use the UDP OpenVPN servers, and can not use the PPTP servers

@rsatoshi

What server are you using?

The error you are showing I believe you are trying to connect to a non-openvpn purevpn server.

What router model are you using and what ddwrt build?

also, which would you recommend my linksys e900 with privateinternetaccess or new router with purevpn to start with?

Install the script again...I had to remove forcing TLS 384 Handshake, some routers dont support it... (Sorry guys.)

Now, once the script installs...
Enter your PureVPN username and Pass under :SETTINGS...VPN (scroll down to client)

Your PureVPN username looks like purevpn0s22817

For the Server...
You can get the server names here...(Make sure and get the OpenVPN Server name for UDP)
https://support.purevpn.com/vpn-servers

*** Note ***
It is good practice with PureVPN to use the server IP instead of the name.... This company has resolve problems...

If you guys can't get connected, and don't want to deal with installation, I charge $25.00/hour for remote tech support for dd-wrt users and connection is guaranteed. (For all VPN providers that support openvpn)

I don't however guarantee PureVPN service reliability.... they lack reliability and in my opinion some security also.

Tried to install the pure vpn open vpn instructions that were posted on their website as well as at flash routers. And the purevpn beta WRT app and that was a command script.

Prior to installing your script I did a 30/30/30 reset of the router then I installed the script. The only thing i set up was my wireless settings and wireless security settings.

What server are you using?

The error you are showing I believe you are trying to connect to a non-openvpn purevpn server.

What router model are you using and what ddwrt build?

Hi,

I was using the following firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33257 std (08/29/17)

Now I changed to the following firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31899 std (04/24/17)

And the script is working fine!

Thank you very much!!

Best regards,
rsatoshi

Hi,

Take a look in my message above. I had to downgrade the DD-WRT firmware to make it work. I am using a TP-Link C7 v2.

Did you downgrade with the webflash.bin or both the factory to ddwrt and the webflash bin

If you already have the ddwrt in your router you don't need to use the factory to ddwrt

I don't however guarantee PureVPN service reliability.... they lack reliability and in my opinion some security also.
