i had a linksys e3000 with tomato shibby and was getting 100mbpsDL/36UP speeds.now with the linksys 1900acs v2 kong(12-24-2016)build getting 83mbpsDL/37UP speeds. Is there settings i still need to do?thats with hard line not wireless.
I have up to 260 mbs with my local ISP Mediacom provider but 1gbs is coming soon. The 800 mbs is local wired speed to NAS but 260mbs internet is easily supported by WRT1900 on wire and wireless (wifi AC test is attached).

Most likely your connection to the modem is only 100MBit, you can use swconfig commandline too to check the port status, I bet the port to the modem is displaying 100MBit not 1000MBIt.

No, not from your computer. You need to either telnet or SSH into the router to run the command. Using something like the program putty to connect to the router. Don't forget username is root with the password that you set up.
Then run swconfig list from within putty
That will give you the name of your switch where mine is called 10.mvsw61xx
Then run swconfig dev 10.mvsw61xx show
This will show what your ports are running at. _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes
