I have a Netgear R6250, and I've seen I can get Kong's or a beta official to get to a current build. But, just a little concerned that there aren't hashes for these that I can see. I saw them on Kong's for the chk files, but no bins. I currently have DDWRT on it, but would like to update for security patches.

If I'm on a '16 build, do I even have to update? Were there any big flaws I missed?

Per: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/Supported%20Models your router supports the standard Kong build which has an MD5 file: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/

Look at http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ for versions/patches

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I didn't see anything with a .bin saying it was for the R6250. I just use the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin file assuming STD = Standard?

Ah, ok. Thanks! That was what threw me. I try not to post extra threads, but the only one I saw was someone saying they only saw a .chk. Glad to see all support getting merged!

Why not just use the integrated update tool?

ddup also checks the crypto graphic signature, thus you can be sure the file was not modified on the server or by mad in the middle.
