Has anyone considered signing the https webaccess portion of the firmware (aka just signing the DD-WRT certificate) using https://letsencrypt.org?

It's free and works great. That way users don't get a gigantic browser warning when accessing their own router homepage over https every time.

Out of curiosity, does US Postal offer electronic certificate services?

The "trouble" with Letsencrypt certificates is that they expire every 2-3 months and need to be updated. But actually this is easy; you just need to automate the process of issuing/renewing/installing certificates.

This is a guide I wrote for how to perform issuance and renewal automatically on the DD-WRT, with only very minimal software:
https://github.com/Neilpang/acme.sh/wiki/How-to-run-on-DD-WRT-with-lighttpd

Using free SSL/TLS certificates has never been easier.

Hello! Smile

I have followed your GitHub page written instructions and I will be going into other final phase.

I am unable to resolve this issue with the image that occurs when I try to install a certificate for use.

Could you help me to get this second one after the last step? I don't understand why this doesn't work.

I have followed this advice: https://github.com/acmesh-official/acme.sh/wiki/How-to-run-on-DD-WRT-with-lighttpd

Thanks!
