Hello,
I am on the latest build V3.0-r30534. Atheros hardware Netgear WNDR3700 V2
I met the problem joining the WiFi provider's AP by using the client mode.
Provider uses Cyrillic letters in the AP SSID name.
When you click "Join" from "Site Survey" AP SSID looks something like this:
ÿffffd1ÿffffc5ÿffffd0ÿffffc3ÿffffc5ÿffffc9
and at the "Wireless Setup":
&#-1;ffffd1&#-1;ffffc5&#-1;ffffd0&#-1;ffffc3&#-1;ffffc5&#-1;ffffc9
DD-WRT can not connect to such access points as well as to the access points that are not broadcasting their SSIDs.
Is there any workaround for this issue? Or may be there is a way to use BSSID instead of ASCII SSID in the client mode?
I have to mention that the regular Windows PC with standard WiFi drivers works fine with these access points.
No problems at all. May be it is kind of Linux Unicode issue?
