Kong's DD-WRT build 30360M - 2016/08/07 has been released: http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/

Your reports for Broadcom units are greatly appreciated !

This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29440_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Router: R7000
Firmware: 30360M
Kernel:
Status: Working
Reset: No
Errors: Speedtest shows download of ~100Mb out of 300Mb available. In contrast using 30356(BS) shows download of ~290Mb. I've switched back and forth between them a couple of times to ensure it's consistent. Had the same issue with 30350M.

OK; will check that, maybe I still have some debug compile flag left.

Router: r7000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30360M kongac (08/07/16)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.16 #216 SMP Sun Aug 7 12:08:14 CEST 2016 armv7l
Status: Working great, 22 hour uptime.
Reset: Nope, flashed via ddup --flash-latest
Errors: 2 TX errors, but nothing other than that. Speedtests are better than the build I was using previously. Pretty much stays stable the entire test. Testing for uptime stability now.

I'm glad you are looking and hope you find it. Now that wireless signal is in line with Netgear FW, this is the only thing stopping me from coming back to DD-WRT. I've never been able to achieve my ISP's 230 Mbps down rate on my R8500 and that's a powerful enough machine that I wouldn't think it would be struggling. As I reported previously, I get anywhere between 80 and 120 Mbps on my ISP's own speed test while getting 230 Mbps every time with the Netgear FW (I'm talking wired connection: the wireless was even slower). The odd thing is that once in a while (maybe one in 15 or 20 tests), I actually was able to get the full 230 for the whole test. It's like it randomly "woke up" once in a while... but it only had fleeting moments of speed. Maybe that clue will help in your search for an answer.

I always got the impression that DD-WRT was faster on the wired connection when not much was going on with the wireless radios, like it could only allocate CPU to wired or wireless but not both at the same time. But that was just my gut feeling.

I can confirm the issue, going to flash BrainSlayers build now and check if the issues isn't present there.

I can confirm same issue here with my R7000. 200/20 connection, but getting 125-150. Switched to BS build and 200/20.

BTW, been using kong since I put in R7000. Great stuff and much appreciated!

Kong, I am having an issue with the R8000 wireless on the latest revision. Every time the router reboots, I need to change the regulatory domain in order for the router to accept clients. Its been like this the last two revision.

Any idea what the issue could be? Thanks!

Since someone said that 27560 in Aug/2015 has no speed drop issue, i immediately flashed that version to test.

I CAN CONFIRM, there's NO speed drop in BS 30356, Kong 27560 and 29300.

And Kong 29875 has the SAME problem with 30325, 30350 and 30360, the download speed often drops a lot.

I believe somethings happened between 29300 and 29875, and then the problems prevails till kernel 4

BS 30356 has the et_tx_thresh value set to 3300
u guys can issue command to check:
nvram show | grep et_

and that DOES NOT affect the uplink/downlink speed
whether it is et_tx_thresh or et_tx_tresh

Does the latest BS build have the freezing fix in it, or should I stick with this build until Kong can get internet speeds back?

Maybe the internet speed wont be back.

As Kong is truly unaware of what's going on, even after he has done his own performance tests
