Have you tried more recent build? The one that you are using is almost 3 years old. See if it can fix the SSH problem. As for Transmission, you can check this thread: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=177532 mind you the performance may not be great with router that has only 400MHz CPU and 32M of RAM.

Yeah,I've tried the latest build, got ssh working but no luck, I've also tried from the link you've posted, doesn't work. Somewhere I read that you've to be on that same build so tried installing 25408 on it and bricked it (downgrade from 28856 to 25408 doesn't work I guess). Now back to build 21061.

The diagnostic msg say: the names should include only specific characters only and "_" is not included. But file names on your pictures has this character. May be it is your problem?

May be you got not right version. The module names have that character included. There are different ways for broadcom and atheros versions. I want to install some things too and had read about it before, but nothing installed yet. Many versions and addresses was changed with newer versions.

Yeah, athros is a big pain in the ass, but broadcoms are also not that stable, I don't know which version to try now.
I've tried chaos calmer, barrier beaker, snapshot and attitude adjustment too, but same result, I can't get through, there's no updated instructions on net :/ which router do you have ?

Because it I not installed yet nothing, only reading doc's.
After I started the install and mount disk-on-key for optware, I bricked the router with new firmware update. It costs me a few days for restoration. My router is Archer C7 v2.0 israeli version.I want to use it for web server and some other functions.

You said that it doesn't work, can you give more details. The guide that I recommended is the most update and complete guide in my opinion. I believe you have tried a few builds and on a more update build now I suppose. Retry the guide again and let us know where in the guide that it doesn't work. BTW, I suppose you are upgrading the router with the file wrt160nl-firmware.bin and not Linksys-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin.

Yeah I didn't flash Linksys to ddwrt firmware.bin, only wrt160nl-firmware.bin

I am on the latest build 28976 std 27/1/2016.
USB enabled, 8gb fat32 mounted on /mnt, enabled NAS too, sshd and enabled telnet. Downloaded those (shown in pic above) various packages of opkg from different vendors , none of them work. Same stuck at that error, tried putty, winSCP, filezilla, same result.

Should I flash Linksys-to-ddwrt-firmware ?
I'll flash it in few hours and let you know...

tried linksys-to-ddwrt-firmware-25408/28976.bin, but couldn't access USB page, and theres no NAS option in services too...

so i flashed normal 25408 (had to use tftp for that), worked fine this time but couldn't clone my WAN address on that firmware, then flashed normal r28976...
