This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Why the factory-to-ddwrt file has .bin extension?
Can it so be used?

Hello,
I have an WRT1900ACS and after I applied this or the previous release the router got unresponsive.
I needed to reset it 30/30/30 to recover access.
After I setup wireless CPU went to 100%.
The internet light got in orange, and cable/configuration was correct.

My knowledge is not too deep, so could be there are other issues I did not found.

I revert to DD-WRT v3.0-r30082 std (07/01/16) and it is OK.

I didn't quite understand. Is this build (30284) working for anyone on WRT1900ACS or not? The previous one was completely broken, so I'd rather not update to this one, until someone will confirm successful usage.

If you look at the FTP site, you will find a later release (30342), posted 30th July.

Router Name
DD-WRT

Router Model
Linksys WRT 1900ACv2

Firmware Version
DD-WRT v3.0-r30342 std (07/30/16)

Kernel Version
Linux 3.18.37

Running extremely well right now. Fastest image ever, for me, faster then any Openwrt image, custom or trunk.

As far as the "bin" extension on the factory to ddwrt initial file, just change it from "bin" to "img" before flashing. working great for me.

Initial flash is still a "bin" extension. I would suggest to anyone trying it, to flash from factory and change the "bin" extension to "img" extension.

Edit:
I was very comfortable trying it as I have great confidence in Brainslayer's and Kong's builds. I figured it was just an error in filenaming, not an image issue.

As posted, this image is working EXTREMELY well for me.
