Hello Everyone ,
I have D-link Dir 615 E4 router with smooth internet connection , no problem at all..
In D-link I have installed dd-wrt and also have enabled QOS for other users.
Now i want to extend my wifi signal where i am getting low signal quality so i connect TP-LINK WA500G access-point through LAN connection .
and i made Tp-LINK as access-point with same SSID same security and channel also ..
then i got high signal strength also but i am getting low internet speed ..
MY main router gives me 5 MBPS speed and tp-link is giving me only 1 MBPS speed ..
I am totally confused veterans please guide
Thanks in advance
I have attached Drawing also pls check
sorry for rough drawing
this is getting very popular this days, apart of the broken QoS or may be bad setting, try to put the second router in forwarder mode, to turn off DHCP and NAT

A 2.4Ghz channel, uses the selected channel and the two on each side (in case of 20mhz, with 40mhz it doubles off course). So channel 6 uses 4 to 8. That's why the (European) advised channels are:
1 -> -2 to 3
6 -> 4 to 8
11 -> 9 to 13
But since you have to adapt to your personal situation, you might feel the need to not follow the advice
Anyway, when two access points are on the same channel, they "wait for each other" to "speak", especially when the signal quality is strong enough to "see each-other".
When two access points are overlapping in channel, they shout trough each other (you are on 1, the other is on 2, 3, 4 or 5), which also might kill your wifi performance.
The same happens with 5Ghz, besides the fact that the channels are not overlapping on 20Mhz.
Never the less, my advice would be to scan your WiFi environment to check what the best channel would be for you. There is a lot software (even for your mobile phone) to do so. The easiest way probably is to:
1. install a "wifi scanner" like inSSIDer (free till version 3)
2. Switch channel and check how well it scores, while walking to the area that you want to have covered.
inSSIDer gives your link a score. I however experienced that it is no guaranty for good WiFi. A good thing to check is the frequency your signal drops to zero. On 2.4Ghz this can happen when there are a lot of access points around you. 5Ghz would be a better choice, if possible and supported by your client devices (Phones, Laptops, etc).
I hoped to help you out a little. Good luck and sharing your results is always nice. _________________ Netgear WNDR4300v1 DD-WRT v3.0 BS r29837 | Netgear R6400 DD-WRT v3.0 KB r33525M | Tickets: 5429 IPv4 & IPv6-PD | ProFTP & Samba to USB thumb | DNSMasq DHCPv6 | Pi-Hole on RasPi

well in bridge mode and same name and channel it will not work well especially with 2 different software vendors. I had idea you are using both DD-WRT compatible units sry for the confusion, i do believe you can still run
switch mode even with TP-link stock firmware but then you have to ask in TP-link forums how to, currently im unaware
of any TP-link settings as im not running any TP-link stock units at the moment... _________________ Atheros

Can you Please explain me more about this what should i do to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance

as i ve said im not familiar with TP-link stock firmware
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWVPZSQqUZg
here i ve found something similar but this is wi-fi repeater
usually they deliver 50% of the speed and they don't work well with different software vendors, that's why i suggested, LAN connection switch/forwarder mode.
On theory, its the same like the link i posted in previous comment just different interface and different locations, try to sort it out, try and error or check google
for more examples...or check TP-Link forums for more info
here is the dd-wrt explanation witch is also the same
just to let you know for the second router in switch mode
you better use different router and wi-fi name that differ from the main AP as well wi-fi channels
here more examples try to find your way

I believe it is a wired connected access point and not a bridge as in a wireless bridge/range extender. If that is not the case, the problem probably lies in the fact that your bridge is at a spot where the WiFi signal of the "main router" is weak and therefor there is not mutch to work width. So, if you are bridging wireless (no cable between the main router and your second router (which is actually a 801.11G access point)), you should probably put your second router physically closer to the main router.
For the record. I have a temporarily solution with a TP-Link access point in Wireless Bridge mode and then you can not change the channel. It copies it from the "main access point". Never the less, I get a 60Mbps on 2.4Ghz 20Mhz, where the TP-Link is set to 40Mhz.
So two vendors (NetGear(DDWRT) and TP-Link on Stock firmware

The easiest wat to solve your problem is to start reading what is written. check my snipped quote above.
But you might want to answer these questions as well:
1. Is the Main Router connected to the Second Router with a cable or over air?
2. Do you have 1MBPS or 1Mbps (1MegaByte = 8 MegaBit/ 54Megabit = 6,75 MegaByte at, in theory and shared with other devices.)
3. What you can do next is:
3.a download http://www.netspotapp.com/
3.b Start it and have it run for 10 minutes
3.c Leave a screen capture (ALT + Print Screen) at the forum

every time u repeat a wifi signal the THEORETICAL max cuts in exactly HALF, i caps theose words cause real world throughput will be even LESS..that is normal & expected of wifi..
repeater on the same channel isnt helping either.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

1. Is the Main Router connected to the Second Router with a cable or over air? CONNECTED VIA LAN CABLE WITH ACCESSPOINT ENABLED WITH SAME SSID AND CHANNEL
2. Do you have 1MBPS or 1Mbps (1MegaByte = 8 MegaBit/ 54Megabit = 6,75 MegaByte at, in theory and shared with other devices.) I HAVE SHARED 512kbps to USERS
Well, you might give channel 11 a try on your second router. Leave the main router at 6 and see what happens.
I don't know what you mean with you have shared 512kbps to users, but I will ignore that for now, just like the usage of CAPITALS
Are you sure your network cable is of good quality? _________________ Netgear WNDR4300v1 DD-WRT v3.0 BS r29837 | Netgear R6400 DD-WRT v3.0 KB r33525M | Tickets: 5429 IPv4 & IPv6-PD | ProFTP & Samba to USB thumb | DNSMasq DHCPv6 | Pi-Hole on RasPi
