New build posted overnight. Downloaded without problems and working absolutely fine. All radio channels appear to be present and latency and speeds seem to be as per earlier builds. Kernel updated.
Thank you again <Kong>!

Just flashed it. Looks like all channels are back on 2.4ghz now. Yey. Other than that, speeds have stayed the same... not finding much else at this point. _________________ Device: Linksys WRT1900AC V1

Just upgraded to rev29900 and is having problem with 5GHz Wifi.
My country is set to HONG KONG with 5GHz channel at 161, channel Width 80 MHz and channel Extension at lower.
My Macbook Pro can no longer connect to 5GHz wifi (2015 model, Broadcom 43XX) while my iPad mini 4 and iPhone 6S can. Connection to 2.4GHz has no problem.
I have erase nvram and start from scratch but still failed.
The same setting works since 2016-03-25 version but not rev29900.

R29900 running well on my wrt1900ac v1. No issues so far. On observation. I have been running Openwrt with the same version on the wireless driver. I run a iperf test of 5GHz wireless from same PC, which is a desktop so in same place at all times, to a PC which is 1 gig Ethernet attached to wrt1900ac. As is typically the case DD-WRT is slower then Openwrt. Not sure why, but this version of DD-WRT is slower then Openwrt (davidc502 build).
When you upgrade do I just upload the bin file or do I have to do a full reset first then upload it?
I have already install the factory ddwrt from Kong ftp site from 2 previous versions ago. I was told to update just download the bin file and upgrade it that it.

I would caution against that method, I always boot back to stock and flash from there. Just last night I bricked my router for the first time... guess I was tired when I decided to upgrade and for some stupid reason I flashed the DD-WRT to factory.img from the Linksys GUI, sure enough that bricked my router.... no matter though, I tried for the first time the on and off 3 times to revert to stock and it worked:) I really love this brick protection!
Anyways, thanks Kong for the update, all working great on this end.
Also, I recently decided to switch 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz on same ssid, I'm pretty sure I feel I get overall better performance out of my networks. I no longer experience dropouts on the iPad and our surfaces connect no problem to the 5ghz signal, reports a 900mbps connection very happy with this router, thank you Kong.

In my case (WRT1900AC v1) I've had DD-WRT in both partitions so I've always used the easy method via Administration > Firmware Upgrade then uploaded the relevant .bin file with "Don't Reset". Always hard-wired connected to the router on a UPS using a laptop with battery so no chance of a power-glitch causing issues.
This has been my experience, never had an issue, never bricked the router.
Why don't I keep the Linksys factory firmware in one of the partitions? Simply because it's crap (random reboots, speed issues, etc.) and serves absolutely no purpose to me. It is the reason why I left it for DD-WRT and I'm not that nostalgic nor paranoid to hang on to it.

I run both DD-WRT and Openwrt on my WRT1900AC V1. Having the Linksys partition available makes it easy to move from one to the other. To go from one to the other I would need to install the Linksys firmware and then install the 3rd party firmware. Would not even try going from DD-WRT to Openwrt from within the DD-WRT UI.

Yeah, that makes sense if trying both DD-WRT and OpenWRT.

How do you create a dual partition?
You don't need to, it is already dual partitioned on the WRT series. _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes

I tried few of the latest Kong firmwares for WRT1900ACS, and I cannot get any virtual interface that I create in 2.4Ghz to work. With some of them the network appear briefly then disappear.
Builds that I tried:
Kong's 29750 build of 26 May '16
Kong's 29770 build of 29 May '16
Kong's 29825 build of 4 June '16
Kong's 29845 build of 8 June '16
