So I've been having this issue for a while now with ddwrt: internet randomly drop (mostly apple devices) can't resolve host, wifi is fine- stay connected. Had to toggle wifi off/on for internet to work again
Already tried various dnsmasq options no resolv domain-required etc. or even off (uncheck dnsmasq for dns) still no luck. My setup is basic no wds no vap no mess no samba...
No such issue with kong openwrt build, which is the only working solution

on R7800, 1043v2, R7000 still nothing like...all seems
good, the only issues is ipleak.net not working as intended, and few other sites give an resolving errors.. i don't know if it was due to the new firmware... im quite busy to try with some old firmware/builds will see...
I can tell you that with dnscypt was better, but this doesn't count....i guess _________________ Atheros

something with qca9980 again, mrjcd had some issue much like this with the latest bs build
yep my hunch is the current fw 10.4 in ddwrt builds. have been pushing the official 10.4.1 which is in kong openwrt build hence no issue there, yet ddwrt being stubborn as usual
Never lost resolving DNS but all 5GHz clients would get to way less than 1 mbps.
When this started happening max I ever got was 2 mbps...it was unuseable for me....but funny, upload was not affected...Imma thinking BS fixed it now.
r39751 just give me terrible 5GHz trouble with hundereds of below messages.

was able to confirm the issue: use ddwrt 10.4 fw in openwrt build resulted in exact same problem!!
