I'm trying to use my WRT1900ac v1 as a wireless bridge, using DD-WRT. With the january firmware, the connection to my Asus RT-ac5300 got alternating on and off. Tried a later beta version. Got a stable connection to my router, but speed is very slow (< 10 Mb/sec) on 5GHz, where the original Linksys firmware gives me around 800 Mb/sec.
Althou my router, the Asus RT-ac5300 tells me the WRT1900ac is connected at a speed of 1300, effectively I don't get higher than 10.

Meanwhile, I'm back on the Linksys firmware.

Does someone has suggestions?

I have a wrt1900ac v1 also. I find the official builds done by Brainslayer to not have good performance.
I would suggest you give Kong's latest a try. It should perform better for you as he tests his builds before posting. The official beta's are built by Brainslayer as a batch of over 500 routers so he cannot test all of them.

Be aware, if you have not already read it, there can be latency when testing with pings (long ping time). This is due to the wireless driver provided by Marvel. Depends on client as to seeing or not.
