I think that the developer of the mwlwifi driver and the DD-WRT developers should get two wrt1900acv1 routers and set one up in AP mode and the other in Client bridge mode. if you want, you can also have the AP router be a broadcom ARM unit instead.
then, they should setup a wireless printer on the AP wrt1900ac and try to have their computer connected to the client bridge wrt1900ac access the wireless printer.
also, they should also flash brainlsayers latest build and try playing multiplayer FPS video games with this client bridge configuration.

From my limited knowledge and experience, the best release yet (and I have tried very many from both BS and Kong).
Most impressive is the 2.4GHz wireless download speed which now pretty much matches the speeds previously only achieved using the 5GHz band. Latency and jitter are very reasonable too.
As a very new newcomer I do not quite understand why the version in the site's "Router Database" is not updated as improved versions come to light.

I agree with lim. This build has the best ping times that I have seen for sometime. Getting 2ms ping times where I have not had anything better then 15ms before. Used to vary 15 to 33ms on one client, others were much better. With this build times are 2 to 15ms about 50% of time 2ms with 15ms not happening very often. In other words latency looks better then I have seen for sometime.
I do not use this router for anything but connecting to Internet and supporting wireless and wired clients. So cannot speak to VPN etc.
Well, similar results here on ping times. My iPad Air 2 was 38ms ping time, and now it's less than 20ms. That's still not as good as other routers and other firmware, but much closer than it was last time around.
The other major problem that'll probably keep me from using this one is that there's only one working upper channel with this firmware (149). None of the others work. Unfortunately, that's the same channel that my next door neighbor is using. I'm getting just a little more signal strength in my living room from my router (at the other end of the house), and from my neighbor's house (right across from my living room). I was hoping that he was on "auto" channel and his router would switch channels but that hasn't happened. He may be in the same situation as me, only one working 5GHz. upper channel. Wouldn't that be ironic?
As a result of the direct interference from using the same channel as my neighbor, I'm getting much lower speed in my living room. Like less than half of my ISP's download speed.
I may try one of the lower channels, if one of those works, although I believe that with routers that are currently out there the lower channels are also lower power and I need the signal strength, but it might be worth a try before giving up.
So one step forwards, and one step back *sigh*.
Update: tried channel 48, works but not strong enough to be useful in my living room. Going to need to use a different router.

While enabling my network setup I only found a few hiccups listed below in the errors section.
Tested normal web use with no issues
Tested video streaming with no issues
Tested Bonjour/AirPrint/AirPlay with no issues
Not tested multi-router bridging
Not tested USB support
Not tested guest network
This release of dd-wrt is stable for my basic setup especially when not configuring the currently under development problematic features.
WiFi Explorer wireless --- 2.4 GHz locks into b/g/n 450 Mbps max mode

I am getting a strong signal all thru the house.
Speedtest OSX wired --- down 89.49 Mbps, ping 22 ms
Speedtest iOS wireless --- down 72.25 Mbps, ping 15 ms
Speedtest tvOS wired --- down 89.45 Mbps, ping 16 ms
Tested in the morning when all was quiet... I'm getting results that is better than the 75 Mbps plan I have with my internet provider.
PingPlotter wired --- from Mac to router ping 1.0 ms
PingPlotter wireless --- from iPhone to router ping 2.0 ms

If I'm understanding you correctly, this is normal behavior. Selecting sys-info takes you to the default load page.

How are you testing this?? I would like to try doing the same thing... If BS and Kong use the same Marvell driver, and almost all of the exact same code, I'm curious how this can vary so enormously.

Yes I think we are on the same page, no pun intended.
To keep the tab bar interface consistent there should not be any rows disappearing. So when a user has selected the Sys-Info (which lives on the 2nd row) page tab the 2nd row of tabs should still show. And the Sys-Info tab in that 2nd row should be the highlighted tab so the user knows visually what page they are on. I can take screen captures if that helps understand better.

I'm not doing anything special, just www.speedtest.net (and www.testdevelocidad.es for spanish people). I tried later resetting to factory defaults with both firmwares and results are the same for me...
