Hi,

i have the Dlink DIR-890L on DDWRT for over 2 year, everything works fine except, i upgrade from a 200mbps to a 1000mbps network ( getting 925 on the cable ) but after the DIR-890L is done with it i can't get wifi speeds over 160 Mbps..

i upgraded to the last beta, noting... now i'm going to install a clearos firewall so it's going to become a AP. revert to stock or fixable ?

Kind regards.

The only chance for anything fast is to turn off qos and turn on SFE-shortcut forward engine.

then you might be able to hit 300-400 on 5ghz. 2.4 will likely top out around 120.

dd-wrt on gigspeed needs the fastest possible cpu- 1.7ghz dual core.

I wouldn't expect much over 750 on that hardware...only 1ghz cpu.
DD-wrt doesn't take advantage of the nat hardware in modern routers making gig speed really hard w/o SFE. you may have to go back to stock...sorry...
