Errors: newly created VAP doesn't broadcast

Had VAP configured but had signal disabled . Enable & "Apply" wasn't enough to get VAP going -> no IP. Reboot necessary.

Router Model: TP TL-WDR4300 v1
Status: OK
Reset: No
Errors: Not sure

When I apply changes, the main page doesn't load completely all the time. A simple refresh solves that.

That other situation is that the 2.4GHz network is working good, better than with the factory firmware. BUT, the 5GHz is weird. My "family" laptop is 5 meters or 16 feet away from the router, without any physical barriers between. The strengh signal is bellow 45%.

Is that right? Shouldn't that be a bit better?

Do you use dhcp forwarder on the setup page? That's what happened to me on the last release. It was fixed by turning it back to just dhcp but disabled. Just curious.

Actually....Yes...I do have it set as a DHCP Forwarder....I'll try a different setup on this unit and report back.

Thanx for the info.

Sorry guys....changing from DHCP Forwarder to DHCP Server (disabled) didn't help with this unit. Still the same problem.

I'm back on 27858 as a DHCP Forwarder.

With how many dBm you are transmitting? there are different channel (groups) which uses different power.

I am transmitting with 21dBm, because I choose the 104 channel UPPER. The list I got from the "iw list" command is:

* 5180 MHz [36] (17.0 dBm)
* 5200 MHz [40] (17.0 dBm)
* 5220 MHz [44] (17.0 dBm)
* 5240 MHz [48] (17.0 dBm)
* 5260 MHz [52] (17.0 dBm)

* 5300 MHz [60] (17.0 dBm)
* 5320 MHz [64] (17.0 dBm)
* 5500 MHz [100] (17.0 dBm)
* 5520 MHz [104] (21.0 dBm)
* 5540 MHz [108] (21.0 dBm)
* 5560 MHz [112] (21.0 dBm)
* 5580 MHz [116] (21.0 dBm)
* 5600 MHz [120] (17.0 dBm)
* 5620 MHz [124] (17.0 dBm)
* 5640 MHz [128] (17.0 dBm)
* 5660 MHz [132] (17.0 dBm)
* 5680 MHz [136] (17.0 dBm)
* 5700 MHz [140] (17.0 dBm)
* 5720 MHz [144] (17.0 dBm)
* 5745 MHz [149] (21.0 dBm)
* 5765 MHz [153] (21.0 dBm)
* 5785 MHz [157] (21.0 dBm)
* 5805 MHz [161] (21.0 dBm)
* 5825 MHz [165] (20.0 dBm)

The region I am using is Brazil.

Router Model: DIR-615E3

Status: Not OK
Reset: 30/30/30 reset before & after flash
Errors: Internet slowdowns after about an hour of heavy use; speeds up then slows down again. Reverted back to 27745 which is the most recent build that works without this problem on this router.

Errors: ath1 rate displays 1.08308e+06 Gb/s on the system info page. I know its an ongoing error, but it has changed from previously showing 450 Mb/s as it has since I started using dd-wrt almost a year ago.

Found the problem, it's caused by a typo: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/4957#comment:5

Linux 3.10.93 #12506 Tue Dec 1 02:32:51 CET 2015 mips
No Reset -- update all 3 live from 28320

Two as WDS bridge.
One is WAP + guests network.
Updated WDS-AP and then station and WAP across WDS bridge.
Working ok with uptime --- only few minutes
No uglies lurking in the logs.

This error only shows in the WDS-AP.

The WDS-Station and the WAP+guest are clean.
All are working ok --

edit:-- WDS bridge is only a bridge -- NO other wireless clients connected to WDS-AP, NO VAP on Station

Router: TL-WDR4300V1
Firmware: 28397
Status: OK
Reset: No
Errors: Didn't reset on initial flash and everything seemed alright. Decided to factory defaults to see if the dhcp forwarding bug was still there. After the factory reset both 2.4 and 5 GHz don't broadcast. Not until i reconfigure the wireless and reboot the router does it start working again. When it does start working the 2.4 ghz works right away but he 5ghz takes several minutes to show up. Also I've noticed that the lan side seems slow. I have a ps3 hard-wired that has noticeable loading times now streaming hulu/Netflix that it didn't before. I can post dmesg when I'm out of work if thats needed.
