This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 280072_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.
My router: Asus RT-AC87R
Initial findings it installs and wireless is working. WAN has to be reset buy unplugging the ethernet cable and plugging it back in. Will test more later

Very unstable!
At alot of the reboots the router does not come up.
E.g. at reboot after a while the router comes into green power led and yellow globe. Then after another while the leds go dark and the power led starts to blink yellow.
Result: Nothing works
When it comes up it is unstable.
Green globe, but yellow/green blinking power led. (Other times just yellow power led and green globe.)
If one enters the gui then the router chrashes it seems, because there is no network response.
I have tried to factory reset the router after upgrade, but it does not seem to change a thing.
Advice: Don't use this build!
UPDATE: I also tried to avoid to load my old configuration and just configured a new one manually by hand.
That seemed to work at first and also wifi (also when I clicked in the gui of dd-wrt), but when I tried a reboot, it all repeated and the router didn't wanted to boot and after a while it seems to reboot itself. :-/
That seems to happen over and over again.
R7000 main and R7000 AP both working fine here. _________________ Segment 1 XR700 10Gb LAN, 1Gb WAN ISP BS

I have tried it. I am having what appears to be wifi connection issues from my Apple Mac Mini. I have had this issue for the last 4 or 5 builds. I am using it as an Access Point and it acts like there is no Internet gateway (also for the last few builds). In all fairness, I need to look deeper at the issue to insure I am configured correctly but I really haven't changed the config in a long time on this router.
Tried r28072 but also r28054
Both have the strange habbit when I change somethings and I apply it stops working or it resets to default settings. Not always, not sure when/what I change. It looks like random.
Also tried 30/30/30. But no permanent succes.
Successfully flashed it over r28054. Almost a day uptime. When changing settings that needs rebooting it hangs and have to be powered off. Guess this might be related with the nvram issue, and when power cycled it executes nvram startup trimming command.
When connecting to the VPN server from outside network some of the systems in the inside network looses their internet connection. Still not 100% sure which and how many exactly. I will investigate issue and write a follow-up to clarify if it is related with the DD-WRT's VPN server or not.

Yes, I had the same. Connection drop, or maybe even router stops working when connecting to vpn.
