Access Restrictions https sites?

When I add 'weather.com' to the 'Website Blocking by URL Address' section it blocks the http version but the site loads when I specify https in address bar.

I am using DD-WRT v3.0-r29193 std

also am new to using Access Restrictions are wildcards allowed?
