Questions about router Dir-300 and Dir-600

first of greetings to all you, and say that I have ddwrt on dir-300 quite a year ago and it has never failed me but stop using it because the firmware could not function as a signal repeater of the other router
the SSID It did not work despite configure all.. and I read a year ago that the model dir-300 It is not compatible with the function of "repeat the signal" ¿someone can confirm it?

they gave me now a dir-600 and I would like to install again dd-wrt because I like its interface ¿is compatible with this model?
