DD-WRT v24-sp2 kongac (c) 2015 NewMedia-NET GmbH
Release: 02/08/15 (SVN revision: 26190M)

I've been very happy so far with dd-wrt but there is a problem with cron that is driving me nuts. The problem went away on it's own for whatever reason a week or so after I first installed it on my Netgear AC1450 but now it has come back. I use the gui to set up access restrictions from 11:00pm-11:59pm and from 12:00am to 6:00am. The crontab file generated looks like this:

root@Valinor:/tmp# cat crontab
00 23 * * 0-6 root /sbin/filter add 1
59 23 * * 0-6 root /sbin/filter del 1
00 0 * * 0-6 root /sbin/filter add 2
00 6 * * 0-6 root /sbin/filter del 2

Here is my system time and TZ info
root@Valinor:/tmp# date -u
Sun May 17 00:44:53 UTC 2015

root@Valinor:/tmp# date -R
Sat, 16 May 2015 19:45:36 -0500

TZ='CST6CDT,M3.2.0,M11.1.0'

In the gui, time server is enabled, time zone set to US/Central, and server set to 0.us.pool.ntp.org

Everything looks like it should to me. If I manually delete the rule, ie /sbin/filter del 2, and then either reset the router or restart cron, it comes right back. The last major thing I did was install Entware but it didn't show up right after doing that. Any ideas?

No ideas on this? A day after I posted this it started "working" again. Sometimes after I reboot the router, one of the filters will be enabled when it's not supposed to be. I just manually delete it and it usually runs ok from there. Cron on ddwrt just seems buggy in general based on other posts in this forum.

Just for the heck of it I added the startup script from this post http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=711636 to that add a crontabs user to the passwd file to eliminate the orphan error in the messages log I get. Not sure if it has anything to do with my problem. though.
