Mesh, WDS oder ganz was anderes?

Ich will in meiner neuen Wohnung, die insgesamt sehr lang und schmal ist, zwei Router mit DD-WRT aufstellen (auch wegen dem dahinter liegenden Garten).
Aktuell habe ich schon einen Belkin F7D4302 und einen TP-Link TL-WDR3600.
Wenn es Sinn macht würde ich auch zwei die selben Geräte aufstellen.
Unter anderem wegen einem Saugroboter soll alles mit einer einzigen SSID laufen.

Was sind jetzt die besten Modi/Einstellungen dafür? Beide Router sind per LAN verbunden.
