Hey, all! I'm a software engineer...but I primarily work on the web and understand little between MCUs and the application layer. That said, I have successfully flashed a WRT64GS which I have been using alongside my Raspberry Pi server stack for a year now.

I need to upgrade because the speed is simply not sufficient with the WRT54GS. I picked up a EA6350v2 this morning for $5.

I'm having a very hard time even attempting to flash this router.

I have read http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=286183&sid=5f8944666074be5f0bca4ff38fde057c and was not able to take the suggested steps there because I was unable to find a copy of "linksys-ea6400-numinit-super-hacky-smaller-version.bin" mentioned in the thread. The link in said thread is dead.

I attempted to flash the router with tftp using the Redand linksys tftp client found at https://www.redsand.net/solutions/linksys_tftp.html but the "put" command SEEMED to simply hang. I left it alone for several hours and it appeared to not do anything.

I am attemtping to use the EA6350 V1 firmware.

Any suggestions?
