How to modify version and date of dd-wrt firmware (in the upper right corner)?
I've tried modifying date in 'defaults.bin' with no luck.
Thanks.

WHY would you want to mislead anyone as to the firmware version?

You might be able to hexedit the cfe. That would be stable. I have no idea where you would find the proper values thought. Seems like a lot of work. Put a piece of tape on the routers and label them. Laughing

No. The tape would hardly leave any residue. Laughing

I found another way, by telnet and 'ls -l /etc/defaults.bin'.
