Updated router to DD-WRT v3.0-r34080 std (12/14/17)
Updated BWMON to 1.9.2 BWMON

The issue that I am running into - the value (TOTAL, DOWN, UP, DN RATE, UPRATE) are only doing a momentary snapshot of what's going on.

So instead of showing GIGs or MBs up and/or Down, bwmom is only showing a few KBs (or in the case off the DNRATE UP RATE there is no value)

Anyone running into this issue?

Ninja edit.
THe issue is caused by having the Shortcut Forwarding Engine enabled.
Setup->basic setup->optional setting it can be disabled there.

Once disable, amounts become correct

Minor update a lot has happened since 1.9.2

There's now a php enabled module for rapid updating.
There's now a dark theme that is enabled by default
Responsive buttons are enabled by default.
Clearing the stats have recently been added for people running lighttpd

I believe we are currently on version 1.11.0

Hi - thanks for providing this for us to use. I was after
realtime data to work out what is consuming all of the bandwidth on my home internet line Smile

So I've followed all of the instructions on here: https://github.com/vortex-5/ddwrt-bwmon

When I enabled lighttpd on the dd-wrt GUI it shows this:

HTTPS Port: 443
HTTP Port: 8000

As per instruction 3 I changed http port to 81. When I now visit http://192.168.1.1:8000/bwmon.html I get the page but there are no entries on the page. I see the title row of the table, plus the Totals row, and in the middle an asterisk * row with "0B" as values. I did see one of my devices appear temporarily with 0 values, but it disappeared again.

Any clues?

By the way - for anyone that is having difficulty mounting the USB drive - the dd-wrt GUI asks for the UUID of the drive. When you first enable USB and plug it in, you will see the UUID displayed - copy the UUID into the /jffs field as per the screenshot attached.

There have been numerous smaller updates recently the current version is 2.2.0.

It's now got a dark theme and rudimentary password protection. Your password isn't stored just a hash on the router and that's what's verified through the browser. You must set this password on the command line.

This was a much requested feature.

It should be compatible with the latest DDWRT beta currently 42681 however I don't have a large selection of routers to test so we'll have to deal with bugs as they come.

Now that a lot of us will be working from home this should be useful in diagnosing intermittent networking troubles.

Hi @vortex05

I am running 2.2.0 on the following:

Router Name DD-WRT
Router Model Netgear XR500
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r42681 std (03/13/20)

I didn't set a password - I didn't run the set-password.sh script.

Let me know if I can provide any more information.

Thanks.
