Hi, I have just set DD-WRT up on my Netgear WNDR3700v1.
It's just about all up and running as I hoped. This device is inside my LAN - my cable modem does DHCP duties etc so DHCP is not enabled on the WNDR3700v1.
Devices connected wirelessly operate correctly when connecting to my main SSIDs within DD-WRT. However, I have attempted to set up a guest wireless SSID as well, basically as per http://tips.desipro.de/2013/12/06/guest-wifi-setup-dd-wrt/ (although the menus are slightly different from those screengrabs).
I can connect to the guest wireless SSID but there is no working DNS functionality. Devices connected to it get 192.168.10.1 as their gateway, and it doesn't seem to serve up any useful DNS results.
My non-guest network is in the 192.168.0.xxx range, and this seems to work (although, oddly, the 2.4GHz network sets 192.168.0.1 (the cable modem/router) as the gateway, while the 5.0GHz network sets it to 192.168.0.19 (the dd-wrt unit).
Side note: my ISP/cable modem seem to be a little aggressive in forcing their preferred DNS to be used but I am not sure if that is relevant here at all.
This is not at all important as I don't expect the guest wireless to be used much if at all, but I would still like to understand what's going on with it. A
Glad you got it figured but if you want more info on your WNDR3700v1 (it is an atheros device) you can look & post over in the atheros forum.
