Hi,

I try to setup opkg with bootstrap command but the link for downloading opkg.ipk is broken ( http://www.desipro.de/bcm53xx-musl/packages/opkg.ipk )

Code:
root@DD-WRT:~# bootstrap
Bootstrap is checking prerequisites...

You did not enable USB automount.
Echo optpart /dev/mtdblock/5 on /opt type jffs2 (rw,relatime)
Found a valid partition: /opt.

Proceed with download and install of opkg? (y/n) [default=n]:
y
Connecting to www.desipro.de (82.165.77.220:80)
wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
tar: can't open 'opkg.ipk': No such file or directory
tar: can't open 'data.tar.gz': No such file or directory
/bin/bootstrap: line 47: /opt/bin/opkg: not found
Bootstrap complete. You can now use opkg to install additional packages.

Could someone send me this package please ?

As the previous repo was just a test I removed the packages, working on an improved package repositoryy, with more packages and better dd-wrt experience:-)

Thus right now, there is no package repository you can use on the R7000.

First of all I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to you Kong, for putting DD-WRT out there, especially for the R7000 which I just bought as a router upgrade. Very Happy

Secondly though, I've just been through Linux Hell trying to get p910d or p910nd installed, trying to install using ipkg and finding it has been removed, trying to install opkg using the bootstrap script, finally finding this thread... Evil or Very Mad I super appreciate an update as soon as you have it, or an alternative way to install opkg.

I'm rather a Linux n00b, though I run an Ubuntu server and know a few basics. I usually have to Google step-by-step guides on setting up anything out of the ordinary. I do have JFFS2 enabled and cleaned, with ~77MB available in /dev/mtdblock/5 (mounted on /jffs).

Thanks again, Kong! Cool

IPKG is broken all over the place and not needed anyways. There is work in progress regarding additional packages.

Has there been any update on this? I don't want ipkg, but would definitely like to install opkg if possible on my r7000. The main thing I need to get working is USB printing.

Thanks,

http://dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Optware_on_K3-AC-ARM/Repositories/magick777

Is this still a viable opkg path fort he R7000 and über kong builds?

or edit /etc/ipkg.conf to point to a ARM based repo?

Hi!

Is there any info about working progress?
I just looking a way to install optwere (first of all for installing transmission) on my rt-ac68u with latest Kong's firmware 26093M - without success...
May be I'm in wrong place - so please give me a right direction.

Thanks!

What is the status of opkg for r7000? Are there any workarounds to get it?
When eventually it will available?
Any info at all?

I have an Netgear AC1450 running Kong 26190M and am also wondering when opkg will be available? I get the same error running botstrap:

Connecting to www.desipro.de (82.165.89.193:80)
wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
Connecting to www.desipro.de (82.165.89.193:80)

tar: can't open 'opkg.ipk': No such file or directory
tar: can't open 'data.tar.gz': No such file or directory
/bin/bootstrap: line 49: /opt/bin/opkg: not found
Bootstrap complete. You can now use opkg to install additional packages.
