WHR-HP-G54 - Schalter an der Unterseite

Hallo, kann mir jemand sagen, wofür der Schalter an der Unterseite des WHR ist und was er bewirkt? Er trägt die Aufschrift "AUTO" und "Bridge". Bisher bin ich nicht ganz schlau daraus geworden. Ich kann jedenfalls keine merklichen Änderungen feststellen wenn ich diesen Schalter von der einen Position auf die andere Position bringe.

afaik wir der schalter bei uns auch nicht benutzt.
