I've been using v24 DDWRT for well over a year now on WRT54GL and WRT54GSv1.1

In Dec 2007 I tried using the Special version of Mini v24 (dated Sept(?) 2007) and I found the wireless perfomance figures very poor in comparison to the builds I had been using.

(1) 15th Jan 2007 01/15/2007 and (2) 20th June 2007 06/20/2007

The performace was so poor, slow downloads for several users, I had to withdraw it and revert back after 5/6 hours to he previous router setup. I have users at distances varying from 30m to 200m with some trees around. All users were affected with lower SNR levels and the now marginal users had reduced download speeds. Previously they did not have problems.

I have read that new Radio drivers were introduced after 06/20/2007.

I would like to be able to test/use a v24 special prior to or equal to this date and test its Radio performance

or does anyone know if the Radio performance problems are now fixed in the Special builds?

Thanks Sach, but I was looking for a Special which was available at some stage in the past.

RC6 is not available as a Special(?)

Is RC6 just back to previous good Radio performance prior to 20/06/2007 or is it Better?

Also, I seem to remember reading there were still some problems in the RC6 builds which will affect deployment in the field.

there is a rc4 special u can try.
i think u will have to wait for the relese to have a newer spacial build. or u can try to ask bs if hes willing to make a spacial with the new wlan drivers.
