I need an new Router, I'm considring as first choice:

Buffalo WZR-1750DHP

and

D-LINK DIR-868L

Both priced about 120$, I've used Buffalo for years until my previous unit which lasted less than 2yr (WZR-HP-G300NHv1), btw I don't think buffalo is anyway poor brand, no brand is perfect here, but the WZR-1750DHP offers lots of flash, and ram (256/512) twice than the closest competitor, seems lacks 5ghz range, not big deal to me.

From what I've read so far, Kong only listed the D-Link 868L as compatible with his firmware, and seems the WZR-1750 stil a WIP.

As last resort I could Pick an R7000, my dilemma is having an very stable Router capable to load Transmission and openVPN simultaneously for about 5-6 device with at least 3 concurrent pc a little NAS and other intermittent tablet/phone/MF printer.

So I could pick one of these buffalo or d-link, or spend a bit more for Netgear R-7000 (I don't Need that range).

I'd go for the R7000; however, 1) I own one, so I am partial, 2) I hope to not have to buy a new router for a while, and 3) there is a 270+ page thread with over 4000 posts with several examples of people doing exactly what you want to do with their R7000.

Just thought I would give my $0.02.

In addition to the above good points, R7000 is tested with each release by Kong.

Ok guys, I know, overall the best is the R7000 but what about the Buffalo WZR1750 and the Dlink Dir-868l

Asus RT-ac68U (comparable to the R7000)
Asus RT-ac66U (does not have a dual core processor)
