Hello all,
I currently have a Linksys wrt1900ac router & has been great however I now require some good QOS options/features. Unfortunately the 1900ac oem firmware sucks for this & is pretty sad.
I have tried DD-WRT on my 1900ac in the past however I had some issues with it & slow wifi speed etc that I went back to oem firmware (about 1-2 years ago)
Now I may be able to get a good deal on a Asus RT-AC5300 & am curious what people think of it? Is it better then the 1900ac? Does it have better DD-WRT support then 1900ac?

I'd suggest trying DD (or OpenWRT) on the 1900AC; I think a lot of issues were fixed in the past year. See the Marvell forum.
But for a new device, I agree w/ egc Don't get Broadcom. _________________ #NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD#Repeater issues#DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo#
