Hi Guys,
I did not use my router for quite some time and now I need it again. I experience a little problem with connecting as client to several networks.
My firmware version is V23 ( voip ) on a linksys WRT54 GL router.
A few questions :
1 Can anyone tell me if updating is worth the risk,
what are the improvements?
2 Can I update from V23 to V 24 at once or do I have to start with the mini version first?
3 My android phone connects to any network I have a code for, never mind what kind of encryption security is used, in my dd wrt version I have to choose the kind of security first. Can a new version detect this like my phone too??
There were some serious security risks with old builds resolved by build 12548. I would put 12548 on that router. See the peacock announcement. _________________ SIG:

Thanks but where can I find that peacock announcement.
If there are security improvements only, do I need it if I only use client mode?

Currently, you can find the "Peacock" thread in my signature.
Security concerns aside, you would be using a very old version of DD-WRT. You will find it difficult to get *any* useful support on such an old version. We highly recommend using a more recent version that improves many things. _________________ E3000 22200M KongVPN K26
