Posted: Mon May 05, 2014 8:43 Post subject: WDR 4900, cannot login to admin or reset after hotspotsystem
Hi, I have just installed dd-wrt build 23919 onto my wdr 4900 and it was working fine, I know the passwords and username for the modem and I can access wifi.
When the WDR 4900 is plugged into my modem I can access my modems admin page through the router but not the router itself. When I unplug the internet and try to connect to the router it will not connect, it will keep identifying and say limited connection as an unidentified network and it doesn't give me a dns server.
I have tried to do a 30/30/30 reset about 20 times but is not doing anything.
The problem started when I activated hotspotsystem therefore it must be associated.
I have tried to telnet but I cannot find the correct IP. When I try to access the 4900 through the IP it should be(192.168.1.1) it does not work and using ipconfig there is no default gateway and the IP is the same as the modem even when unplugged from it and that doesn't work either.

ip is the same as the modem maybe they're both on the same subnet? which isnt good, unplug it from the modem then reboot it, does the connected device get an ip from the router? you can try using the wps button as a reset button but i dont think they will work at least on mine it doesnt theres no way to reset the router so i have my password double saved.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
