Hi all,

I am running an personal educative game hosted on my computer and accessible throw the local network during a lesson with students.

The server (my computer) is hosted in 192.168.0.10, and the students have to manually enter the IP to access to the Web site: http://192.168.0.10.

There is no Internet access and it is not a problem.

I would like to make things simpler by redirecting all requests in the browser to the server.

e.g if the students open the browser and the home page is http://google.com, they are redirected to http://192.168.0.10

If they enter http://192.111.22.333 they are also redirected to 192.168.0.10

I am sure that this is possible in several ways with DD-WRT (using dnsmask, iptables or http redirect), but I am a newbee with networks, and I don't know what is the simpliest solution.

I tried to configure HTTP redirect with the following settings:
HTTP Destination IP: 192.168.1.10
HTTP Destination Port: 80
HTTP Source Network: 192.168.1.0

My router has all default settings, and is located at 192.168.1.1.

I am running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std.

Any help would be really appreciated!

ps : a different suggestion to make things easier are also welcome

Thanks!

Hi Toub

did you have any luck?
I'm trying to do the same, and I tried with iptables command, but I can redirect to an internet website but not to a local website.
See my post

Hi Totogno,

Thanks for your answer.

I will try with iptables and let you know if I can make it work.
