Does anyone have a working CFE.BIN or WHOLEFLASH.BIN for a WLA2-G54C? I've bricked one, made the appropriate JTAG cable, and need to re-flash the device via JTAG. Actually, can I take a DDWRT v24 bin and flash that as the wholeflash (by renaming it to wholeflash.bin then flashing it)?
This site has be a great source of info, thank you to all for posting some great information.

Yea, i know that. I have jtag setup. I just dont know what commands to enter in hairydairymaid or tornado. example: To load a CFE from: c:/wrt350n_cfe.bin
EDIT:

If hairydairymaid recognizes your flash chip, then it's okay to use, but if it doesn't, use TJTAG. Anyway, the command is
Code:
wrt54g -flash:cfe
You need to have the CFE in the same directory named CFE.BIN.
except the fact that you need to add the filename "giveio.sys" to the program that loads giveio.sys ,,, odd , isnt it? _________________ WRT54G,GS v1.1, V2, V3 V4, V5

1) Linksys WTR54GS "Wireless-G Travel Router with SpeedBooster" -- no version on label, so probably v1.
2) Q87-WTR54GS
3) SSH; cat dev/mtd/0 > tmp/www/cfe.bin, then wget the cfe.bin
4) Not sure how
5) The http://router-up/backup/cfe.bin kept generating a 0 byte file, so I went with the SSH route. It's still running v24 RC5 since I've been too lazy to upgrade it.
I just learnt about CFE backup from the wiki. I don't know if this will be of any use to anybody but I still decided to post it up here. This is my Buffalo WHR-G125 CFE Backup using the web interface method running dd-wrt v24 svn9856.
