Thanks for the link and info. Any idea what version of the wireless driver this one has? Last time I installed, which was a few months ago, they had one of the problem drivers installed. Know the answer is install and see, but teen is using Internet today. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. Driver is not updated, still the old one. They aren't going to update the driver until they switch to LEDE as their base _________________ My "WRT" rant, and why I have gone ddwrt on x86, no more consumer routers. ( ac86u as access points & bridges )

Hey guys
Im trying to setup entware and pyload on my router so I can remotely download files to router with external storage
I followed some instructions but none seem to work .my current problem is that after every reboot entware seems to be gone and not found error appears for every command .
I would appreciate if you could link me to a working tutorial for Linksys routers
OR if there is another easy way to setup a download manager for the router
thanks
Poorly worded. I meant those are some of the routers that I know of that have Marvell chipset.
I have a WRT1900AC v2 which does have a Marvel chip set, which shows as an arm 7
I am having sata issues drives disapearing etc, which often takes 3 or four reboots to get them back, just got them back, plus instability issue forcing a reboot every day or so, reboot command doesn't work from ssh, I have to turn it off then back on followed by the reboots
I am having quite decent stability with Gargoyle. it is based on the last version of "Openwrt", has been patched for "Krack" and all those goodies. Has adblocking, vpn, tor, and a whole host of stuff built in.
I will try every ddwrt beta that comes out and switch if it becomes more stable. But I am afraid that Belkin/Marvell are not helping BS and the team out at all. _________________ My "WRT" rant, and why I have gone ddwrt on x86, no more consumer routers. ( ac86u as access points & bridges )
I think i put this previously in the wrong thread, so i'll drop it here too.
ok so i don't quite know whats going on but i'm running latest firmware as of today. quite often (like every day or two) my WRT1900ACS (v1) decides to go on the wonk.
DHCP seems to stop dishing out new leases, I cannot access the WebGUI of the box. I need to hardware reboot it.
I set up sys log server on my pc and had it send to it and from what I can tell (i'm not very experienced or knowledgeable about kernel debugging etc) it seemed to have died around 945 today and here are the logs for around there. (there were a lot of dropped traffic around it, but it seems pretty usual).
What is the most stable version now available for WRTACS v2?
A link to download it would be appreciated .
I would also be intereested if there is any update for the 1900AC V! that is as stable or better than DD-WRT v3.0-r31924.
I'm interested primarily because I have been using DNSMasq and static IP reservations and it is buggy.
how do you mean "buggy"? i'm in the same boat with using DNSMasq and static IP's.
I meant to say static leases - not just IPs and I am setting the static leases via the services page - not in dnsmasq configuration parameters, etc. I don't remember the details now but I was trying to get rid of some old entries and/or reassign IPs, etc. while having dnsmasq create/update entries to resolve them. I remember trying to find a less painful way than deleting them all and loading them back in one at a time. I wound up making a spreadsheet with all the info so I could edit it in excel and then copy/paste into the GUI (static leases). If I tried other options - just blanking out an entry, etc. DNSMasq would become corrupted or just stop resolving anything, etc. I have many static leases for all the gadgets in my house and I reconfigure labs, etc.

You are running Gargoyle on a WRT1900AC V1 or some variant? What firmware version did you use? I have occasionally checked to see if Gargoyle had any updates to include the WRT1900 series but I only see old 54 series - at least in the list of supported routers.

I flashed the Gargoyle (mamba) build for my WRT1900AC V1 and so far it seems to work great - WIFI speeds are better than I ever had and setting/editing static leases is much easier and DNS works well, etc. So far I haven't seen any issues at all.
