v4.30.7 is the version of the Linksys firmware that is currently running on your router, not the hardware version of the router itself. The hardware version of the router is either v1.0 or v1.1

1. reset router to default settings
2. flash the router via web gui with dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin
3. reset router to default settings
4. flash the router via web gui with dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin
5. reset router to default settings
6. Configure the router and you are all set.

Note:
Default ip address of the router will be 192.168.1.1
Default login name is root
Default password is admin

Depends on your needs...
4.30.7 is most likely an EU-version... Latest US-version is 4.30.11.

If your connection >20Mbit you might want to use Tomato... DD-WRT tops off at 18Mbit...

In need of WRT54GS <= v3 EU/UK for firmware-debugging purposes. Buffalo's are welcome too! PM me if you have a spare one.

I think I can switch to Tomato if I need it on the future... but here in Chile I don't Think I'll have a 20Mbps or bigger connection. at this time I have 600kbps and Will have next month 3Mbps.

Thanks
