the S80busybox_httd has syntax errors (i deleted the last ;; esac and a syntax error went away)
im very impressed by the fact that they publish it without even testing it

I tryed transmission could not get it to work. Does the transmission_watchdog need to be run what updates the files. Do the torrents need to be started or does running one of the scripts do that.

/opt/sbin # ./transmission_watchdog
head: illegal option -- 1
head: illegal option -- 1
./transmission_watchdog: ./transmission_watchdog: 290: transmissiond: not found

so i changed line 290 too
/opt/bin/transmissiond -p ${LISTENING_PORT} \

now it just has this following shit running
29769 root 764 S /opt/bin/transmissiond -p 65534 -w 300 -u -1 -d -1 -i
29772 root 764 S /opt/bin/transmissiond -p 65534 -w 300 -u -1 -d -1 -i
29773 root 764 S /opt/bin/transmissiond -p 65534 -w 300 -u -1 -d -1 -i
29774 root 764 S /opt/bin/transmissiond -p 65534 -w 300 -u -1 -d -1 -i

i think all you say apply to torrent not transmission
transmission is the only one that worked right away for me without doing anything
its just that it lacks any kind of gui

transmission in my installation is just an executable in /opt/bin named transmissioncli

Fixed deprecated head -1 in transmission_0.6+r1049-1_mipsel.ipk
vlahos esac report checked and not a bug.
torrent_1.4-7_mipsel.ipk maintenance release also got head -n 1 fix.

I have doubts that dd-wrt httpd is not capable of running CGI processes!

i had taken version transmission_0.6.1-1_mipsel which now i see its older but
it is placed last in line
i hate these mistakes ... take out older versions what do you need them
even now looking at transmission_0.6+r1049-1_mipsel
its not obvious for me that it is later version (only date tells me so)

If wanted extended functionality Wiki suggest to install ipkg package. Besides date revision number shows SVN revision at http://transmission.m0k.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/timeline

Mistakes You do are not mine.

indeed :D

would you mind if i told you that the package is incomplete ?
nowhere is described how to run it after installation

the purpose of these packages is to be used from people other than those who wrote them

anyway i run the httpd and i press the various keys most of them is "page not found" and :
/tmp/exec.tmp: /tmp/exec.tmp: 2: //opt/share/www/cgi-bin/transmission.cgi?ACTION=
........:not found

where ..... =list, pause , log etc

anyway i will RTFM if somebody gets down and WRITE IT

Try thttpd package.
Introduction to transmission daemon is welcome. It will be included in README if appropriate.

...and here is your answer

403 Forbidden
The requested URL '/cgi-bin/transmission.cgi' resolves to a file which is marked executable but is not a CGI file; retrieving it is forbidden.

thttpd/2.25b 29dec2003

http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/transmission.cgi

which (partially) works with httpd
