Please take a look at the wiki, you can flash your router with the mini version. I did it and it went smooth.

@Eko

Yes of course micro :)

@kevin87

Download the HairyDairyMaid Debrick Guide -> Download

Inside the zip is a pdf file which describes howto build a JTAG cable. You can also buy one at ebay.

So you really can't do that thru the web interface?

Does the micro version give any better stablity/functionality. had to reboot the thing twice last night because it just gave up.

Just want to know before i go to all the hassle of doing the jtag.

Cheers

If you still can, return that piece of crap to the store! Very Happy

Get one of the Buffalo routers that are supported, BrainSlayer always advises to buy those.

If you cannot get rid of it... well, then the best way to get any value out of it is most certainly to go the distance and flash dd-wrt onto it with the use of a jtag cable. Wink

Another option, which is what I did......sell the v.5 on ebay at a slight loss (I think I got $40 for mine) and use the money to buy either a Buffalo as suggested above, or an earlier version of a Linksys, either new or used, on ebay. Or.....you can buy a Linksys WRT54GL. The GL is a rebranded v.4 and runs on Linux. I happen to have a brand new GL, already flashed with DD-WRT, that I'll be putting on ebay shortly. If I can be of assistance, lemme know!! Good luck!
