So I have my DD-WRT FON router setup in client bridge mode. I want to be able to access it remotely (via http://my.dyndns.add) and would also like to be able to ftp into my PC. I have tried Port Forwarding on my Linksys with no good luck.
You have to be more precise...In deed, if I unerstand well, you have a linksys connected to the internet and in your lan, you have at leat one pc and one fon...
You have to use port fowarding... it works
For your fon :
port range 80 - 80 forward fon ip of your lan
For ftp
port range 21 - 21 forward pc ip of your lan
I have a FON being used as a Client bridge connecting my PC to a Linksys BEFW11S4.
My Linksys ip is 192.168.1.1, my FON ip is 192.168.1.10,
My PC's ip 192.168.1.102
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
DHCP is enabled on the Linksys.
Would like the remote admin of the Linksys on 8080
The remote admin of the fon on 5580
and my ftp on 1112.
I don't see other solutions thant port forwarding....but not with stock linksys Firmware...because the port forwarding (from the stock FW) don't offer
this kind of forwarding
port 8080 forwarded to 192.168.1.1:80 (the from port and the dest port are different) <- translation port
You have to put the dd-wrt FW on your linksys (very easy)
1. linksys - forward port 80 to 192.168.1.1
2. ftp pc - forward port 21 to 192.168.1.102
3. fonera - or define a diferent port (ex:5580) in Administration > management > remote acess and forward this port to 192.168.1.10 acess fonera http://my.dyndns.add:5580
or easyer ...
just define port forward from 5580 port to 8080 ip 192.168.1.10 (dont chenge admin gui port in fonera) and acess fonera http://my.dyndns.add:5580 _________________ Ericeira Ericeira Ericeira Surf Ericeira Surf
