I flashed my Valet M20 (gigabit broadcom)with a DD-WRT firmware.
I hope someone can answer some questions about VLAN.
According to DDWRT wiki, broadcom gigaswitch will use VLAN1 as LAN_VLAN, VLAN2 as WAN_VLAN. I ran Code: | nvram show |grep vlan.*port |
I got
Code: | vlan2ports=0 8
vlan0ports=1 2 3 4 5*
vlan1ports=4 3 2 1 8* |
Since I knew it is broadcom giga, I ran Code: | nvram unset vlan0ports
nvram commit
reboot |
but, Code: | vlan0ports=1 2 3 4 5* | this line came back again.
why is that? do I need to remove vlan0ports? can those LAN ports appear in both VLAN0 and VLAN1?
In cisco context, by default, VLAN1 is default VLAN and native VLAN. In DD-WRT, is VLAN0 default VLAN? is VLAN0 native VLAN? untagged?
Another question is my ports show Code: | portXvlans=1 18 19 21 |
I knew 18, 19, but what does 21 mean?
Thank you. |
