Hi all,

I've got a v2 350n, after waiting two months for it to come back in stock, the first thing I did was open it up. No pictures yet, but the wireless chip is an Atheros http://www.atheros.com/pt/AR50083NG.htm - the chip I can see is the AR5416 MAC/Baseband Processor. The CPU is a Marvell Orion 88F5181 as pictured here http://www.vonwentzel.net/ABS/Dissection-Extreme-n/Marvell-pp.jpg which is also used in the airport extreme http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/wirelessnetworking/topic4525.html for which there's a BSD system available http://www.wasabisystems.com/products/bsd-platforms.html RAM is http://www.etron.com/manager/uploads/EM6A9160%20rev1.4.pdf 16MB 200MHz SDRAM and Samsung k8d6316utm 8MB (64Mbit) flash. There was no GPL notice in the box or on the CD.

Right, just did some searching, and Linux is already ported to it - ftp://ftp.dlink.com/GPL/DNS-323/ - as the CPU is used in the D-Link DNS323 http://wiki.dns323.info/

I would seriously love it if WRT350N support was added to DD-WRT - right now it's the only gigabit router (with 802.11n support) worth buying Sad

Hmm, I don't think so. Just look for one with a serial number starting with CNQ0.

hi everyone,

im new to this forum, and i've just purchased a 350n myself but found that i have a v2 router. As i understand dd-wrt doesnt support v2 routers,

though im interested to know if dd-wrt this will ever work in the future ?

krh: would you be able to elaborate more about your custom firmware built for the 350n v2 ?

Due to the CPU on 350n v2, im guessing support for dd-wrt is not possible or not possible at the moment ?

any help and information would be most appreciated.

thanks.

ftp://ftp.linksys.com/opensourcecode/wrt350n/2.00.10/WRT350N-EU_V2.00.10.tgz is the source for v2 (which isn't linked from the product page).
