RT AC66u doesn't support TX Power change?

Hi all
I just bought a Asus RT-AC66u and I would like to put DD-WRT on it to extend the wifi range. I was quite frustrated when I read in a community that it is not possible anymore to change the TX Power value. Is that true?

you can still adjust tx power.

Really? But how stable is the ddwrt firmware for the ac version?
