Hi,
I installed dd-wrt build 211061 (as offered by router database) to my MR3420 router. Installation went smoothly (smoother than expected). Ive been observing it and ive been using this build for more than a month now. Im running at fairly almost default settings. I didnt go all out on changing the settings because as far as my newbie understanding, what im using is a beta build. One thing worth noticeable is how fast it can detect my Huawei e353 usb modem/hub compared to the stock firmware which took forever.
But what I noticed is that it keeps on dropping wifi connection. No certain amount of time was observed... Sometimes it happens in succession and sometimes after a couple of minutes or hours. When i does that, after wifi comes back, it seems like it freezes as you cant connect to it by browser nor telnet, and 3g internet connection seems down too. This "freeze" state runs from 15secs to about 30secs then it will come back alive again as if nothing happened. I dont know where to look for clues too so I just reboot the router hoping the next "freeze time" is not right away so i can still do something. Frankly, it disrupts greatly my work as I usually work online as well as accessing files from my NAS which I cant when my router freezes.
Im thinking, is there a prior stable build that supports mr3420? Im getting tired of the constant disruption of my work because of my router.
I already updated it. Now running on build 22118 (07/24/2013) as its the newest one for my route but still the same.
I did check /var/logs/messages and messages.0 and its just filled with kern.warn messages which I dont understand and im still on the process of searching for the meaning of it. See attached screenshot.
