Hello guys,

I flashed an old Cisco Linksys EA2700 with lates build (r41874) with an idea to use VLAN feauture. I want to made a separate VLAN on port 4 for my server's internet things but without success.

I read many threads and try a lot of things, but in the end, it ended completely without success. Whatever change I make in the VLAN section of the GUI, the router stops working and needs a reset.

Please, someone who has done this task give me guidance on what to do.

Thanks in advance and I apologize for my bad English.

Hello,

I saw this before and test some stuff, but without success. When I try to manage VLANs from GUI, the router stop response and need restart to gain access again.

This is my output from ssh commands:

Quote:
nvram show | grep vlan.*ports | sort
------------------------------------
size: 26298 bytes (39238 left)
vlan0ports=1 2 3 4 5*
vlan1ports=0 1 2 3 8*
vlan2ports=4 8

nvram show | grep port.*vlans | sort
------------------------------------
size: 26298 bytes (39238 left)
port0vlans=1
port1vlans=0
port2vlans=0
port3vlans=0
port4vlans=0
port5vlans=0 1 16

nvram show | grep vlan.*hwname | sort
------------------------------------
size: 26298 bytes (39238 left)
vlan0hwname=et0
vlan1hwname=et0
vlan2hwname=et0

What I need to do from ssh connect, to create separate VLAN on port 3(or4) with separate DHCP Server?

Thanks in advance

What I need to do

I DO NOT know anything about the EA2700 but AFAIK tis 'bout same as E2500 only EA2700 has 480 MHz CPU vs E2500 300MHz.
If it is like the E2500 then you can look at my post here ---
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=320028
see my link in post to webif pages & notes

NOTE: I have port 4 (LAN port beside the WAN) as VLAN4 together with wl0.1 via br1

Last time I set this up from scratch was with r41997 and worked just fine.
However because of the broadcom VAP-crap now days I also had to use this set in webif startup. ,,, my notes:
# startup in GUI so VAP will work:
sleep 10
stopservice nas
wlconf eth1 down
wlconf eth1 up
startservice nas

The webUI settings don't work on the EA2700, apparently. I would first recommend that you upgrade to the last public build, because I am not sure if that was a build when httpd was still having issues or not. Then test to see if you can do your configs through the webUI. If it still won't work, then you will have to do it via CLI over ssh/telnet.
