I was just wondering if this router will ever get on the supported list. I just began using privateinternetaccess.com as a VPN service provider and would love to be able to just do the config right on my router instead of each individual machine.
Since its Broadcom it may be possible. The only problem I could see is the second radio being in a mPCIe slot. If that's USB wired and not PCI I think the drivers become an issue. If I had the $99 I would get one from tiger direct and send it to the devs.
More info on the hardware, and FCC pictures

No, but soon if you have the right version.
There is nothing telling which version Brainslayer has done the porting for and there is nothing telling if it is completed, Sash has been a bit to quick to enter the router among Supported Devices.
v1 (1.0R) is 4706 Mips based
v2 (2.0R) is 4708 Arm based _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Have 812dru v1.
But can not flash dd-wrt - after 42% router rebooting and still with factory firmware. May be u can provide a couple instruction how to right flash ?
It's worth noting that DD-WRT does work on this router! I've got a TEW-812DRU v2.0R.
Trendnet provide an 'Open Source' firmware (but there's no obvious source dump on their support site...) It turns out this open source firmware is indeed DD-WRT.

Is there a Kong K3 build that will work on this router (tew-818dru with ARM/BCM4708A0 chip) so I can use Optware? Samba doesn't work on the standard dd-wrt build for the router and I need that to share the USB drive I have attached.

I've been experiencing Wifi dropouts with the TEW-812DRUv2 and version r23194. I tried changing the wifi settings I thought might affect this: fixing the wifi channels, changing channel width, turning off mixed mode, increasing the beacon frequency, turning off key rotation.
However each time, after transferring ~20GB (TimeMachine backup) the router would drop off the network for all clients for 20-30s, interrupting the backup. When these events occur, the macs all report: "wl0: Beacon loss event". I also noticed that either the 5GHz or the 2.4Ghz network would disappear and would only reappear after turning the router off and on again. The problem occurred on both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz interfaces.
I succeeded in getting a full backup (>150GB) by disabling WPA entirely on the.
Since then the connection appears to have been rock solid. Since then! I've backed up >20GB data and had multiple machines connected without any dropouts! Very pleased, and hope this version has fixed the intermittent Wifi issues for good
Spoke too soon. Just experienced a crash - but the Wifi continued working(!)
The web server went away, but could still access with telnet. Eventually telnet stopped too, as did NAT to the internet. But wifi bridging to the lan continued to work (no NATing to the WAN though). Had to turn it off and on again.
What's the best way to debug these sorts of issues?

So, I just this a shot and DD-WRT installed just fine and seemed ok from the Web UI. The ISSUE that I had was the the N radio was not working. It only seemed to be A/G.
I tried both firmwares from DD-WRT Downloads and TrendNet.com
For now, I switched back to TrendNet's firmware...

Is anyone else experiencing this?
No, I'm not having this issue with the latest version, but my web interface keeps freezing randomly. I have to refresh the page or go to the address bar and hit enter before the page "might" load instantly again. It's weird. It randomly freezes on random pages. Sometimes, it takes 2 minutes before I can refresh the page and have it instantly load again.
Anyone experiencing this or can advise as to why the web gui interface freezes? Everything with my router works great, except for the web configuration UI.
Running v24 PreSP2 Beta Build 23804 of dd-wrt on my
TrendNet TEW-812DRU V2 wireless router.
