I have been reading a lot of older posts about TX power issues and I was wondering if anyone had any up-to-date solutions for being unable to adjust the TX power any higher.
I can set the TX power lower, however higher settings will not go through (20 to 21 seem to be max). I got this router for free, it is in perfect working order, but I would like to increase the range a bit. The old Linksys WRT160n v2 will not work with dd-wrt and it is on the way out so I am trying a free solution before buying a new N or possibly AC router.
What makes you think that the hardware is capable of more than 21dBm?
This is a very cheap entry-level consumer router and not a high-power router. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
